The work on the Biff still rolls on. I'm currently working on textures, and also fixing and tweaking the model. There's always something that needs toouching up and re-doing. I am also working on the flight model and have yet to seriously work on the damage model. Then after that comes testing - which is really ongoing. I check out in game at least one hour a day. I'll be glad when it's finished so that I can get on with other models.
I will be modelling a separate visual model for the Biff bomb configurations. Level bombing requires a separate xdp file from fighter bombers otherwise wingmen dive bomb the target. I will also model a negative lense sight in the floor of the BIff level bomber. I have yet to decide whether the level bomber variant will be in the initial release. I have also started the conversion of the Biff to FS2004.
This means re-scheduling the Sopwith Baby and Snipe. Hopefully the Sopwith Baby will take days and weeks rather than months. I have been unsuccessful in obtaining reference material for the Baby's cockpit which is disappointing. Before continuing with the Snipe I want to spend some time modelling a WW2 aircraft [yet to be decided] for CFS3 and also re-do my Blohm und Voss BV P212.03 in Max 8.0 for CFS3. Thus the Snipe will be a while.
I have not had as much time as I would have liked to work on the Biff in the last 2 weeks as I have to give priority to real world events. Because of this factor it is difficult to announce an actual release date. As I mentioned in my earlier post it is best to get things right before release. Hopefully it will not be too long.
