Anticipation

Soon ;D - Hours rather than days. I know at least three people who will be happy. :)

What's New......?

As they say..... "The best laid schemes........" Bottom line..... a slight delay in the Biff's release due to some tail chasing with CoG and CoL locations. Otherwise everything ok, just some documentation and ready to upload as soon as problem solved. Unfortunately today I will not have much computer time available.

Additionaly I will probably be returning to my normal vocation in the short term hence I will only have a few hours a week at the most to pursue these activities. Thus my desire to get the Biff released NOW.

Last week I also spent 3-4 days finalising the virtual cockpit textures and then going over the whole Biff multiple times tweaking here and there. I must say it's looking good :), but I will be pleased to move on to something else.

This week some time :)

For those awaiting the CFS3 version of the Bristol Fighter the answer is this week some time LOL.

Mainly bogged down with flight model tweaking. I would also like to do an installer if I have the time and write some documentation. It will be available from Sim Outhouse and hopefully other sites such as Simviation and Netwings.

Edit: The post above explains it all - should have been next week some time.

Almost Ready

The CFS3 Bristol Fighter F2B Mk1 is in the final stages of testing and will be released shortly. I cannot give an exact date and time until I have heard back from my testers and am certain the flight model and damage models are ok. I have another day of testing ahead of me myself.

I have also planned an update strategy for the Biff. I have a few skins planned and of course 4 blade prop and exhaust variations along with negative lens bombsight version. These will be released in the coming months.

Next week I begin the FS2004 conversion which will be quite a task as the virtual cockpit methodology differs considerably from CFS3's methodology.

Close Shave

I have been busy with the Biff these last few days and weeks. Currently I am doing a bit of play testing to see what needs doing with the damage and flight models. Currently I am focussing on the damage modelling and as you can see some of it works. The picture above is the result of coming a little bit too close with an Albatros DVa in a dogfight. It's at times like this one appreciates the value of a rudder.

I intend to do a 'Biff Pak' featuring variations in visual model and a bomber version with a negative lens site. I have yet to decide whether to release a base model first, probably as a beta or wait and release all in one 'pak'.

Some more pics below.
